Halal is based on Quran but kosher is based on the kashrut of the Torah.

The differences include:

  7. Praying to Allah is essential in halal but no praying is needed in kosher standard.
  8. Only the trained rabbis can slaughter the animals in the kosher but any adult from any religion can slaughter the animals in Halal standard.
  9. The blood should be completely drained from the slaughtered animals’ bodies but is not required in Halal standards.
  10. Kosher meat is acceptable for Halal standard but not vice versa.

The similarities include:

  1. Both prohibit eating pork.
  2. Both the final products and the ingredients should be based on kosher and Halal standards.
